In retrospect...

I'm leaving Stockholm in 7 hours time. It's 6.30am now. I can't sleep, so here's a flashback of the wonderful times I've had during my exchange here.

First trip: Kiruna (almost missed the flight!)

Second stop: Latvia (Riga - I was stranded in a bus stop for at least 10 minutes) & Lithuania (Vilnius)

Third stop: Germany (Berlin & Munich)

Fourth stop: Norway (Oslo - an aboslute let down)

Fifth and Sixth stop: Lund, Malmo, Denmark (Copenhagen) & Begium (Brussels) and Netherlands (Amsterdam)Final stop: France (Paris & Nice) & Italy (Milan, Florence, Pisa, Venice, Rome)

And in Stockholm...

They'll be safe in my memory :)

Our last trip...

We're leaving for France and Italy later today - 11.45am flight to Paris. It's our very last trip. I'm having mixed feelings; It's the trip I've been so looking forward to - Paris, Milan, Rome... Yet, it means that we're coming to the end of our exchange programme here in Stockholm. The reality is starting to sink into me. I'm gonna go back to hectic Singapore - school, school, school. *sigh*

To those that I didn't or may not have a chance to say goodbye to... take care and have fun! Hope to chance upon some of you some day!

To those back home in sunny Singapore... I'm coming home to bug you guys! *yeah*

Will be back on 15 June. K.O. zzz...

The blind leading the blind...

They've arrived! Not with much fanfare, but it was certainly great to see them again. We catched up till the wee hours of the morning i.e. approx 4am (the sky was already bright), and woke up at 9.30am this morning. I'm so damn tired now.

We went to Gamla Stan together and managed to catch some performance by the royal guards on their horses. The catch was, there was horse shit somehow strategically located such that they became the boundary where the spectators could stand. *haha* I wonder if it were on purpose, but I doubt it la. =P

Next, we walked towards Riksdagshuset (the last time I went there was in winter! like jan!) and Drottningatan, where Jo and Wen bought postcards for 1 SEK. I tot it was a steal! 1SEK! In my mind I was thinking, I should tell Huihua and she can go on a postcard frenzy. In the end, I realised that Huihua and Sharon already knew about this and there are other shops selling these postcards at 1SEK too. OK FINE.

We also visited the Stadhuset (Cityhall). It was beautiful. The garden was abit Istana like, with green grass patches and fountains; but definitely a notch up 'coz of the view of the lake in front of us.

Finally, we walked back towards the Royal Palace and bought hotdog (also a 5 mth hiatus) from 7-eleven for lunch. I had to rush back for brand management presentation at 2.15pm. It was already 1.45pm. I have no idea where I walked and soon I realised I was lost. Yes, in Gamla Stan (I went there like more than 3 times?). OMG! I SOS my fairygod mother Sharon to give me directions. Yea I managed to find the station but only after 2pm. *faint* You bet I was late for class.

It has hit upon me that I need to revisit my geography skills (map reading) and train my memory (it's fading at a rapid rate) before I really become a useless person.:(
